She is doing the cycle ride with nine of her friends and family and hopes to raise more than £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Her employer BP has agreed to match the money she raises so the eventual total is set to be in excess of £5,000.
Jane said she doing the challenge in memory of her uncle who died seven years ago from lung cancer and Macmillan supported him in his battle.
Another of her relatives is also fighting cancer and she said money raised to help people affected by cancer is 'the ultimate birthday gift'.
