A warning has been handed out by police to women to watch out for pickpockets who have been stealing purses from handbags in Windsor.
The force said last week thieves stole several purses from the handbags of women who were out shopping in the town centre.
Jeffrey Pick, police, neighbourhood watch and community messaging co-ordinator for Windsor and Maidenhead LPA said: "Please be aware if you become surrounded be people who are within your private space, or if you get nudged.
"Purses should not be easily accessible in your handbag."
He warned women with large handbags not to make them accessible for pick pockets to unzip and access.
