More teams are needed to enter this year's Windsor Lions Club's Swimathon.
The event is on Sunday, October 13 at Windsor Leisure Pool in Stovell Road. It is one of the Club’s major fundraisers and 40 teams are already entered for this year - but the target is 60.
Lion Mike Sells, the event organiser, said: “We are appealing to local charities and other groups in the community which need to raise money to enter one or more teams – it is not too late.”
Over the years, the event has raised over £100,000 for schools, sports clubs and service organisations benefitting hundreds of individuals.
A team of up to eight swimmers swim in rotation for 55 minutes and raise their money through sponsorship. The Windsor Lions organise and staff the whole event.
