The seven foot 'stag' - well loved mascot of Windsor Football Club - was fundraising for the town's hospice in Hatch Lane. He was joined on Friday by members of the club supporters' group Matt Stevens and Jon Bugg.
The trip did not start too well. Jon said: "About half a mile up the mountain we were shouted at by a guy working on the mountain railway.
"It turned out we were heading down a dead end and the path that we should have been on was actually the other side of the railway tracks.
"I think that did us a favour as it forced us to get organised. Matt read the map skilfully and got us up and down Snowdon without any further navigational mishaps."
So far £2,700 has been raised for the Pine Lodge hospice. But his funding link remains open at www.justgiving.com/Scotty-The-Stag4 for any last minute donations.
