A donation has been made to Windsor Library by Waitrose in order to pay for a new PA system.
The gift of £257 was made to The Friends of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Libraries, which passed on the cash to the outreach team to buy the system.
It will be used at author events and storytime sessions.
Cllr Eileen Quick, cabinet member for leisure and libraries, said: "We are extremely grateful to Waitrose and the Friends for passing on this kind donation so it can be used to benefit residents young and old at Windsor Library.
"Our adult author events are always popular, as are our story and rhymetime sessions for young children, and I know the PA system will be put to good use in making sure everyone can hear those who are speaking to bring the joy of books to life."
