Burglars tried to rip an alarm from the wall of a house in Windsor after they broke in.
The front door of the house in St Leonards Road was forced on Thursday, which set the alarm off.
The burglars tried to disable it by ripping the alarm panel from the wall but this did nothing.
They made a quick search of the rooms but nothing was stolen. They fled in a dark silver Volkswagen Golf.
Contact police on 101 with information.
