Volunteers spruce up school gardens

Briish Gas' parent company Centrica held an activity-packed community day.

More than 20 people from Centrica's head office in Maidenhead Road volunteered to improve the outdoor learning environment at two borough nursery schools - including the Lawns Nursery School in Imperial Road.

They tidied, weeded and repainted the fencing to help staff achieve their goal of creating a 'forest school' outdoor space.
