New Christmas lights are to be unveiled in Windsor next month.
The big switch on, on Saturday, November 16 is part of a range of improvements in the town. There are more than 20 schemes and projects that are either already completed or in the pipeline – from new signposts and riverside enhancements to bus stop and road improvements.
The new Windsor Dials pedestrian bridge opened today.
Planned for completion by next spring are: junction improvements at Victoria Street/Sheet Street (replacing the traffic lights with a roundabout) and at Datchet Road/Thames Street, as well as improvements to three bus stops in Charles Street, High Street and Victoria Street.
More than 50 street parties are set to take place this weekend across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the surrounding areas.
An independent report into a Conservative councillor has found a breach of the Royal Borough’s code of conduct in a document seen by the Advertiser.
