Drivers heading through Windsor this morning aced chaos as a fallen tree blocked the town's one way system. It had landed across Osborne Road, forcing drivers to divert back to the Arthur Road side of town in order to reach the old Windsor Relief Road - now Royal Windsor Way, linking the town to Slough and Maidenhead.
In Old Windsor a fallen tree closed one lane in Straight Road, forcing traffic to divert up Burfield Road and St Luke's Road.
In Grove Road, Windsor a tree in the front garden of a home had been wrenched apart near its base by the wind and lay embedded in a car parked in the Road outside.
The route into the village of Bray from Windsor Road, just outside Maidenhead was also blocked by a fallen tree across Upper Bray Road.
