Guilty verdict for man accused of sexually assaulting girl

A 50-year-old man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a girl under 16-years-old after a week-long trial.

Keith Brummitt, was found guilty of five counts of sexual assault committed within the last decade in Old Windsor, by unanimous verdict, at Reading Crown Court today.

He was found not guilty of three counts of sexual assault.

The trial began on Tuesday, October 22, when prosecuting Charles Ward-Jackson told the jury that the allegations about Brummitt came to light after his victim wrote a letter to her boyfriend in 2011.

Brummitt, of High Street, Great Missenden, has been remanded in custody to appear at the same court on December 6 for sentencing.
