Treat for lock volunteers
Volunteer Derek Tomlin, organiser of the trip Chris French of French Brothers and Andrew Graham, Environment Agency Volunteer Manager.
Volunteer assistant lock keepers who help run 45 locks across the Thames enjoyed a day on the river themselves.

Chris French from boat operating company French Brothers showed his appreciation of the volunteers by laying on a cruise for them.

The trip started at Windsor Promenade on Saturday, October 26, heading towards Oakley Court and Monkey Island before turning back to Windsor.

The scheme was started by the Environment Agency in 2010, enabling volunteers to work the lock for one or more days a week as well as carrying out other lock side maintenance tasks.
