A Christmas appeal has been launched by Windsor-based Thames Hospice to encourage people to celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
The appeal, called Light up a Life, will enable people buy a Star to Remember, on which names of loved ones can be written and hung from a Christmas tree.
Liz Showell, director of fundraising at Thames Hospice, said: "Christmas can be a difficult time of the year for many people who miss loved ones.
"We are on hand, providing much needed emotional support at this special time of year because more and more people need our help."
The stars are available across Thames Hospice's shops, including Windsor and Maidenhead.
