Firefighters spent two hours at Clewer Park in Windsor yesteday extinguishing a tree fire.
One crew from Windsor fire station was called out at about 10.30am to the northern area of the park, which backs on to Windsor Racecourse.
Crew manager, Martin Sadler, said the cause of the blaze was unknown, but the tree was old, dead and rotting, which had helped the spread of the flames.
