A pleasure boat fell victim to the heavy weather when it came loose from its moorings and sank today.
Firefighters from Slough were called to a stretch of the River Thames between Windsor and Runnymede at about 3.45pm, after receiving reports of small, unmanned speedboat heading down the river.
But the crew were powerless to do anything about the boat, which was hitting a number of other moored boats as it made its way down in strong currents.
It eventually disintegrated and sank close to Bell Weir Lock.
The crew were at the scene for about an hour and a half.
