As they met for the first time in 2014 at the Guildhall on Tuesday, chairman Cllr Natasha Airey reminded them they have until the end of the year to come up with a plan for the town that will take it forward for the next 15 years.
Neighbourhood Planning Groups are the idea of the government, which wants people living and working in every town across the country to have a say in their future.
The Windsor group has members from across the community, who will wrestle with ways of sorting out problems caused by everything from the night-time economy to traffic congestion and parking.
All meetings will be open to the public with people outside the group encouraged to contribute.
