A bassett hound puppy bought online was the first dog of 2014 to arrive at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in Old Windsor.
Nine-month-old Cooper was brought to the rescue centre in Priest Hill on New Year's Day by his owner who had bought him on a free classified adverts website a week earlier.
He was one of 28 dogs and nine cats to arrive at the home over the festive period between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
Kaye Mughal, Battersea's Old Windsor centre manager, said: "Sadly, Cooper has now been advertised online twice by two previous owners.
"It can be unsettling for a young puppy to live in lots of different places, so we are hoping Cooper's next home will be a permanent one."
