Pancake flippers to support flood relief fund

Some of the money raised through the annual Windsor and Eton Pancake race is set to be donated to the Royal Borough's Flood Relief Fund.

It all starts at 10.30am on Shrove Tuesday, March 4 at the Royal Windsor Shopping centre opposite the castle.

Teams of four will race along a 50-metre course while wearing skirts, apron and a headscarf.

There is a trophy for the winner and a prize for the best dressed team. Entry is £40 per team.

Sue Watts, Windsor Royal Shopping manager, said: "It is a great opportunity for business to come together to have some fun and raise money for good causes."

The rest of the proceed's will go to the town's Christmas lights appeal.

Entry forms must be returned to the Information Centre at Windsor Royal Shopping by March 3.
