Legoland Windsor resort and hotel will be closed for safety reasons this weekend after plans to stage a Muslim fun day there were cancelled, according to posts on the park's Facebook page.
Angry customers have been posting on the page asking why their bookings for the weekend have been cancelled at short notice.
In response, Legoland has apologised but said safety and security is its 'number one priority' and for that reason the whole resort will remain shut.
The Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF) had planned to privately hire the park in Winkfield Road for a fun day on Sunday, March 9, but it had to be cancelled by Legoland after the resort received threatening phone calls, emails and messages.
Far-right groups including the English Defence League had announced plans to protest against the fun day.
