Road closures on Monday as Queen unveils statue

Major roads will be closed briefly in central Windsor on Monday as the Queen and her family unveil a statue of two Windsor Grey horses on the Kings Road roundabout.

She will be joined by her husband the Duke of Edinburgh and grandson Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. 

The following roads will be closed to traffic between 3.15pm and 3.35pm: A308 Osborne Road at its junction with B3022 Frances Road and the A332 King's Road roundabout; A308 Albert Road at its junctions with the B3021/A308 roundabout and the A332 King's Road roundabout; A332 Sheet Street Road at its junction with Mounts Hill roundabout; A332 King's Road at its junction with Bolton Road, B3022 Sheet Street/B3022 Frances Road and the roundabout with the statues.

This will make it only possible to turn left from the following roads: Balmoral Gardens at its junction with A308 Osborne Road; Fountain Gardens at its junction with A308 Osborne Road; Edinburgh Gardens at its junction with King's Road; Gloucester Place at its junction with King’s Road; Adelaide Square at its junction with King's Road;Grove Road at its junction with King's Road; Shaw Farm Gate at its junction with the A308 Albert Road; Queen's Gate Cottages at the junction with the A332 King's Road.

Only right turns will be possible from the following: Chaucer Close at its junction with A308 Osborne Road; Princess Margaret Hospital exit at its junction with A308 Osborne Road; Bolton Road at its junction with the A332 King's Road; Queens Acre at its junction with the A332 King’s Road; Queen Anne’s Road at its junction with the A332 King’s Road.
