A fundraising day at Sainsbury's attended by a hippo has raised more than a £100 for a charity based in Windsor.
Freda the hippo, mascot for Family Friends Windsor and Maidenhead, attended the store in Providence Place in Maidenhead on Saturday.
The aim of the day was to promote the charity, based in Imperial Road, which provides support to families experiencing difficulty with parenting due to disability, mental health issues, isolation or bereavement.
A total of £104 was raised on the day which will go towards the services run by the charity.
A spokesman from the charity said: "We would like to thank Sainsbury's in Maidenhead for providing us with a great opportunity to promote Family Friends and raise some funds for a worthy cause."
