It has been lovely weather for ducks. Just ask pupils at Trevelyan Middle School in Windsor.
A surprise arrival took up residence on the eco-pond at the school in Wood Close three weeks ago when a duck appeared. Then last week 11 tiny ducklings appeared as well, as the new arrival produced her own family.
The school's communications manager Alison McCarron said the family had become the centre of attention for pupils. She said: "You can see them quite clearly from the science room.
"The eco-pond has been here a long time. It goes through quiet periods and then suddenly we get a bit of life."
