The annual 'duck race' on the river at Windsor is gearing up to create the usual splash this year.
The race - organised by Windsor and Eton Rotary Club - always forms a highlight of the Royal Windsor Midsummer Fair, taking place at Alexandra Gardens on Saturday, June 28 from noon.
Plastic ducks will be on sale for the race every Saturday between May 31 and June 21 from 10am to 4pm at King Edward Court, or Monday lunchtimes at the Tourist Information Centre in Thames Street.
The race will start at 4pm on Bath Island at the end of Barry Avenue on the day of the fair. All proceeds go to Rotary charities and the Christmas lights fund.
Meanwhile 40 charity and trade stalls have signed up for the summer fair itself on June 28, which will also feature a funfair, Punch and Judy and family games.Sites for stalls are still available. Visit www.windsorandetonrotary.org.uk
