It is carnival time in Old Windsor this weekend.
The fun kicks off on Friday on the recreation ground with a donkey derby and fireworks from 7pm, and a funfair beginning an hour earlier.
Saturday will see the procession of floats led by Yiewsley and West Drayton Marching Band, the carnival queen and her attendents, parade from Tyle Place through all the village's central roads on the way to the recreation ground in Robin Willis Way.
The procession was under threat after the company which provided many of the vehicles pulled out, but will now go ahead with several groups providing their own vehicles.
Set off time is at 2pm, arriving about 2.45pm. Entertainment during the afternoon will include the Cumberland Giants and a Zumba fitness team. The draw for the raffle and the gift donated by the Queen is at 5.30pm.
On Sunday there will be football and netball tournaments, more from the Cumberland Giants and a talent show on the recreation ground from 2pm - appropriately titled Old Windsor's Got Talent.
