Going to nursery school in a log cabin sounds pretty exciting.
Just ask the youngsters who attend Little Monkeys Nursery, near Stag Meadow in St Leonard's Road, Windsor.
Their new classroom looks like it would be at home in a rural wood. But inside it has 'all mod cons'.
The nursery is owned by Janis Crutch and her daughters Linsey Lunney and Lisa King. Linsey said: "We wanted our new classroom to be eco-friendly so had it designed like a log cabin. It fits in well with the nearby park.
"The children all got involved during the six weeks it took to build, wearing their little hard hats although of course they were strictly supervised."
The family opened their first Little Monkeys nursery in Victoria Street 10 years ago - their St Leonard's Road nursery followed three years later.
More than 50 street parties are set to take place this weekend across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the surrounding areas.
An independent report into a Conservative councillor has found a breach of the Royal Borough’s code of conduct in a document seen by the Advertiser.
