Four-year-old becomes headteacher for the day at Upton House School

Little India Ogilvie Robertson, four, had to grow up fast on Monday.

She became headteacher for a day at Upton House School in St Leonard's Road, Windsor - the school where she is normally a pupil.

India's parents won the prize for her at a fundraising event held by the PTA - and she was well up for her big challenge.

Jill Gilmour from the school said: "India took assembly, helped give prospective parents a tour, did the class registration. She even had her own little desk next to our usual head Mrs Collins."

Headteacher Madeleine Collins said: "It was a fun day."
