A Windsor nightclub has been refused permission to stay open later tonight (June 19) by the Royal Borough due to risk of noise disturbance and violence.
Mantra Nightclub, in Goswell Hill, applied to the Royal Borough for a temporary event notice so they could stay open until 3am for the Royal Ascot Ladies' Day event.
The club is usually closed on Thursday's but is licensed to stay open until 1.30am.
Mantra is in the process of appealing a decision by the Royal Borough to suspend the club's licence for 35 days, made on May 22, after complaints from the police of anti-social behaviour and fighting from clubgoers.
