Leisure services will continue to run at Windsor Leisure Centre after the Royal Borough leased the land to the RBWM Recreation Trust.
The decision was made at a cabinet meeting on Thursday to lease the land on which the Stovell Road centre sits to the trust for seven years.
Cllr Eileen Quick (Con, Clewer East), cabinet member for leisure and libraries, said it would 'guarantee the provision of leisure services on the site for Royal Borough residents to use'.
The move will also save the council £25,000 per month as the trust is exempt from business rates. The meeting took place at Windsor Guildhall
