The branch of the maritime youth charity set up a book stall outside for the public to browse outside its headquarters in Stovell Road on Sunday as well as enjoy a spot of lunch or afternoon tea.
The £350 raised will help the club towards its lease, due to be renewed in 2016.
Club secretary Lynne Gardner said: "We need funding all the time
"It costs us £5000 to keep the building going year on year, it is a constant battle to raise money.
"We are just grateful for anything we can raise."
