Sporty students from Windsor fought to be the 'Best in Berkshire' after competing against thousands of pupils in an Olympic-style event.
Young people from Dedworth Middle School, Trevelyan Middle School, St Edwards Middle School, Windsor Boys School, Churchmead and Trinity First School secured a total of 10 podium places in the sixth Sainsbury’s School Games.
Olympian handball captain for Great Britain, Bobby White, and paralympic swimmer Graham Edmunds joined more than 1,000 students at the games at Wellington College in Crowthorne on July 11-12.
The two-day event is an initiative driven by Get Berkshire Active (GBA) to encourage more young people to get involved in competitive sport.
Chief executive of GBA, Brett Nicholls, said: "It’s vital that we carry on the Olympic legacy and do everything we can to ensure children maintain a physically active lifestyle."
