Military spectacle with a historic twist came to Windsor on Sunday when 45 members of the Sealed Knot Regiment of Blewcoats arrived in town.
The Sealed Knot is the oldest re-enactment society in the UK.
Members gathered near Windsor Library and marched up Peascod Street with pipe and drum to the Guildhall in High Street. It was part of a relaunch and display of the Book of the Queen’s Trees 1977, celebrating the donation of 1000 trees to Windsor Great Park to mark the Silver Jubilee.
The Regiment saluted the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead Cllr Richard Kellaway on the Corn Exchange before performing repeat pike and musket drill.
