House prices in Windsor are almost twice as high as the national average according to an estate agents based in Berkshire.
Romans Estate Agents has published the results of research carried out by the Windsor branch, based in Clarence Road, which put the average value of a property for a sale in the town at £450,000, compared to the national average of £250,000.
The research results were published in July with prices accurate for June 2014.
Carl Atkinson, sales manager at Romans Windsor, said: "Windsor has long been seen as a desirable place to live with plenty to offer its residents."
"Within easy access to London, Windsor is a fantastic commuter town and provides the perfect combination of idyllic country living while working in a busy city."
The cheapest property for sale in Windsor was between £100k-£200k with the highest range of properties priced between £800K-£900k.
Detached properties had the highest value with an average of price of £740k, with semi-detached properties at £420k, and terraced housing at £410k.
