Scotty the Stag will be reliving Olympic history this autumn - with help from his friends from Windsor Football Club.
Scotty is the club's mascot. He and team members will be running the actual route of the 1908 London Olympic Marathon from Windsor Castle to White City - a total of 26.2 miles.
The iconic route was the first ever to be run over the official distance. Scotty and friends will be tackling it on Sunday, October 5 to raise money for Windsor's Thames Hospice in Hatch Lane.
In the past Scotty has run the Windsor half marathon and climbed Mount Snowdon for the hospice. A friend said: "Covering a much longer distance in a tight urban area this time presents an altogether different set of problems. Scotty has been traning really hard."

Scotty's corporate partner for the event are Swiss Re who will match each donation made.
