A horse sanctuary that has survived financial problems over a 10-year period to gain charity status is holding a major fundraising event.
The Blue Acre Horse Rescue charity is based on a 40-acre farm on Ham Island, Old Windsor.
It is home to 40 horses, plus several rescue dogs plus chickens and ducks. It takes in horses and other animals at a short notice. The team often nurses them back to health.
The big fundraiser takes place on Saturday, December 1 from 10am to 5pm.
Tickets are £5 each and there is a family ticket for £20, (two adults and three children).
It will include laser clay pigeon shooting, bucking rodeo bull, a football penalty shoot-out, kids' sumo suits, Santa’s Grotto and a heated German themed food and bar area. There will be a complimentary glass of mulled wine and traditional stalls.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.blueacrerescue.org or on the door.
Parking is free.
