Vicious joy riders who chased and badly injured a deer in their jeep are being hunted by police.
Police have issued an appeal for information after the cruel pranksters were spotted on Tuesday at about 9.20pm driving a grey Cherokee jeep on farm land at Drift Road in Winkfield. They were chasing the deer around a field.
The jeep hit the deer who was so badly injured that police had to arrange for it to be humanely destroyed.
Police later recovered the vehicle which had been abandoned and contained a large number of dead rabbits inside.
Now police would like to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle anywhere in the area. They would also like to have descriptions of anyone seen driving it or their passengers.
Contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
