Curry house in line for national award

A top curry could see a Windsor restaurant win a 'curry Oscar.'

Viceroy, in St Leonards Road, is one of 108 curry houses in the country to be shortlisted for the 2012 British Curry Awards.

More than a quarter of a million public nominations were received for this year’s awards.

British Curry Awards founder and organiser Enam Ali said: “For any restaurant to get to this stage is really quite something.

"We’ve always had a very good public response to our nomination process, but this year it has been absolutely staggering, largely due to our new collaboration with the food ordering service website."

The eighth year of the awards will see the results announced at a black tie dinner at London’s Battersea Evolution on Monday, November 26.
