An elderly couple and their cat were rescued by firefighters from their boat in Old Windsor on the River Thames this morning due to the water deluge.
Fire crews had to use an ice path walkway to get to the couple, on Ham Island at 9.30am, which they had been living on.
They were unable to get off their boat as the moorings were all underwater.
One crew from Slough, one from Egham and a rescue boat from Reading attended the scene, where they spent two hours.
The couple and their cat were not injured.
