A town centre carol service packed Windsor's parish church yesterday.

Music for the service was provided by St George's School and the Parish Choir, singing music by John Rutter and Benjamin Britten separately before teaming up to perform Torches by John Joubert.

There were traditional carols and readings by St George's head girl Holly Addrison, president of Windsor and Eton Inner Wheel Daphne Fido,  chairman of Windsor and Eton Society Anne Taylor and the mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead Cllr Colin Rayner, among others.

The mayor will be attending midnight mass at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve at Windsor Parish Church. All are welcome.
