Windsor MP Adam Afriyie has welcomed the Conservative-led coalition government's announcement for income tax cut.
He said 41,531 people in Windsor will benefit from the cuts as of April, with 1,681 lifted out of paying income tax altogether.
The coalition Government will increase the personal allowance to £9,440, meaning a tax cut of £593 a year for most basic-rate taxpayers.
Mr Afriyie said: "This is undoubtedly good news, but there is a great deal more to do to make life easier for hard-working families and businesses in these difficult economic times."
