A man from Windsor has been added to the sex offenders register for sending an explicit video to a 12-year-old boy.
Ryan Atkinson, 21, of Mill Lane was convicted and sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday.
He pleaded guilty to one count of causing a child under the age of 13 to watch a sex act.
He sent the explicit video on November 6 last year.
Atkinson was given a six month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.
Investigating officer Detective Constable James McNab, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “Atkinson has been convicted of this offence and I hope that his conviction serves as a warning to others, and shows how seriously this type of offence is treated.
“I would like to thank the victim for his bravery and support during this process.”
He was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for seven years and to pay court costs of £425, as well as a £115 victim surcharge.
He was charged with the offence on 25 November.
