With the local elections in Buckinghamshire just around the corner, here is the information you need to vote on May 1: polling station locations, registration deadlines, and most importantly, who is standing.
In South Bucks, there will be council seats for the wards of Burnham, Marlow, Iver, Farnhams & Stoke Poges, and Flackwell Heath & The Wooburns.
Burnham
Standing in Burnham ward:
Polling stations for this ward are at: Burnham Park Hall, Burnham Methodist Church, Dorney Village Hall and Taplow Village Centre.
Marlow
Standing in Marlow ward:
Polling stations are at: Christ Church URC (Oxford Road), Marlow Football Club, Marlow Youth and Community Centre, Court Garden Leisure Complex, Liston Hall (Chapel Street), The Royal British Legion Club and Marlow Bottom Village Hall.
Iver
Standing in Iver ward:
Polling stations are at: Iver Heath Village Hall, St Leonards Church Hall and Iver Village Hall.
Flackwell Heath & The Wooburns
Standing in Flackwell Heath & The Wooburns ward:
Poll stations are at: Flackwell Heath Community Centre, Bourne End Community Centre and St Pauls Church Hall (Wooburn Green).
Farnhams & Stoke Poges
Standing in Farnhams & Stoke Poges ward:
Polling stations are at: Farnham Common Village Hall, Farnham Royal Village Hall, Fulmer Village Hall, Hedgerley Memorial Hall, Stoke Poges Village Centre, Harvey Memorial Hall (Wexham), The Orchards Residential Park (Langley), St Marys Church Hall (Church Lane, Wexham).
Hours of poll are 7am to 10pm. To find out where your nearest polling station is, enter your postcode into wheredoivote.co.uk
Before voting, everyone must register. The deadline to do so is this Friday, April 11.
It is possible to vote by post, and the deadline to apply is 5pm on Monday, April 14.
If you’re unable to vote in person you can ask someone to vote on your behalf. This is called a proxy vote. The deadline to apply is 5pm on Wednesday, April 23.
Town and parish council elections may also be held on May 1. If several candidates put their name forward for a position on a parish or town council, and thus the position is contested, a poll will be held.
This could include Marlow Town Council, Great Marlow Parish Council, Little Marlow Parish Council, Marlow Bottom Parish Council, Wooburn & Bourne End Parish Council, Burnham Parish Council, Dorney Parish Council, Taplow Parish Council, Iver Parish Council, Wexham Parish Council and Farnham Royal Parish Council.
