Site of new Megan's restaurant in Windsor.
‘The countdown is almost over’ for a new Megan’s restaurant set for central Windsor.
The popular eating place is set to open its new branch in unit 28 within Royal Station, Jubilee Arch, where Italian restaurant chain Carluccio’s used to be.
It serves an Eastern Mediterranean menu and will be styled like a ‘beautiful neighbourhood home’, decorated with fairy-lights, hanging greenery and hand-woven macrame.
Megan’s by the Crown, as this branch is known, is opening its doors on February 13, after months of anticipation.
Among its offerings, it serves brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails, sharing party boards, and does bottomless drink offers.
The ‘family-friendly, laptop-friendly, dog-friendly’ place classes itself as an all-day, all-occasion restaurant – good for brunch dates, long lunches, relaxed dinners and seasonal celebrations.
Food-wise, it’s serving ‘vibrant dishes and colourful plates’, from the Turkish brunch feast to the mixed skewer grill. Food is ‘made for sharing’.
Megan’s, which has a sister branch at Liston Court in Marlow, is also known for its ‘posh’ open kebabs and twists on brunch classics, such as the shakshouka (spicy baked eggs), n’duja Turkish eggs and pancake stacks.
In terms of vibe, it has gone for ‘cosy, warm and uplifting’ decorated with a ‘soft Mediterranean blue’ scheme and rustic wooden furnishings.
As well as offering a ‘café experience, Megan’s considers itself a potential party venue, good for everything ‘from brunch parties to milestone birthdays’.
Megan’s by the Crown has the kind of atmosphere that makes it a ‘a sought-after wedding venue Windsor Berkshire option for modern couples’, according to the company.
On its website, Megan’s says of its February 13 launch: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome you to our new home in Windsor!
“Join us with your loved ones in our magical, fairy-lit home for everything from romantic date nights through to weekly catch ups over bottomless drinks and our Eastern Mediterranean menu.
“Our sharing party boards, raised above the table, are seriously impressive and we’d love to host you for your next special occasion.”
The Express understands that a soft launch and photos of the interior are set to come soon.
