The acclaimed jazz artist whizzes into Maidenhead.
The multi-reedist supremo makes a welcome return to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts.
Alan is a prolific international performer, composer, arranger, bandleader and touring soloist.
He is best known for his work on clarinet, alto and baritone sax. His range and brilliance have made him sought after for studio and live work.
He has made more than 30 albums as leader and co-leader. The list of his session and side-man work includes Bjork, Bryan Ferry, Clare Teale, Westlife, Jools Holland and Jamie Cullum.
He has toured and played residencies with such diverse and demanding figures as Ruby Braff, Freddie Hubbard, Warren Vache and Conte Candoli.
Alan is supported in this performance by the Pendulum Rhythm Section: Alex Hutton (piano), Andy Cleyndert (bass) and Clark Tracey (drums) in a night of unique musicianship and warm rapport.
Alan Barnes: A Winter Warmer will be performed at the Centre for the Arts on Friday, January 24.
