Buster the clown and ring mistress Mariska Gandey entertain at Circus Starr
Slough is set to play host to a circus with a difference where inclusivity is the main event.
Circus Starr, a touring circus who provide specially adapted shows for children with disabilities and learning difficulties, is coming to town on Friday 29th September.
Slough’s The Curve will stage two performances from the talented troupe, with ring mistress Mariska Gandey leading performers from around the world.
Fundraising Director, Michelle Crossley said: “We know that Circus Starr is the highlight of the year for so many families, so we are extremely excited to be able to continue our valuable work.”
Alongside acrobats, jugglers and other talents, this year’s performance will also feature the debut of Buster the clown.
Tickets for the shows on the circus’ tour are paid for by charitable businesses and offered, free of charge, to local disabled and vulnerable children.
Every year Circus Starr distributes £1.37 million worth of free tickets.
Michelle added: “We would like to thank all of the local businesses who have helped us cover the cost of these shows, meaning that we can share some happiness with those who need it most.”
The event is funded completely by donations and any business wishing to support the cause can call 01260 288690, or email donations@circus-starr.org.uk.
