A soldier based at Victoria Barracks in Windsor has been charged with GBH on a teenager.
Ashley Dacosta, 20, is alleged to have attacked a 15-year-old boy in De La Warr Parade, Bexhill, Sussex, on October 28.
The teenager suffered severe brain damage in an incident.
Dacosta was charged at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, December 20.
He has been remanded in police custody and will appear at Lewes Crown Court on March 2.
