A 23-year-old man has been attacked with a bottle in Windsor.
The attack happened in the early hours of this morning in St Leonard's Road.
At about 3.30am the victim was walking when a car with three to four occupants pulled up to the pavement beside him. Words were exhanged before the man was attacked.
The victim is suffering from a serious injury across his foreheard at eye level. He was found lying on the pavement by a taxi driver and his injuries have been described as potentially life-changing. He was taken to Wexham Park Hospital this morning but has since been tranferred to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for specialist treatment to his eye.
The attackers are believed to have fled in a dark saloon car, possibly a BMW.
Detective Sergeant Ash Mohmood, of Slough CID, said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack of a very nasty nature."
