Friends and supporters of Windsor Methodist Church came up trumps at the weekend - to the tune of £7,000.
The church celebrated its 135th birthday on Saturday by holding an open day.
It proved a great fund raiser as regulars made cash gifts and stalls selling books, cakes and bric-a-brac made £1,000.
Church steward Graham Brown said the day had been a great success.
The church is a major part of the community, regularly rented out to mother and toddler groups and for organisations holding annual meetings. But many do not realise how long it has been there.
