A 49-year-old man from Old Windsor has been accused of falsely saying he had abused or was abusing a young girl.
Martin Crowe, of the Manor Lodge Probation Hostel, in Straight Road, appeared at Slough Magistrates Court on Friday.
He faces one count of causing a nuisance to the public by contacting various voluntary organisations by phone stating he had abused or was abusing a young girl, between January 1 and March 7 this year.
Crowe is also charged with contacting a child agency or charity when prohibited to by an antisocial behaviour order made in April, 2009.
He will appear before the same court on November 22 for a case management hearing and has been remanded into custody.
More than 50 street parties are set to take place this weekend across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the surrounding areas.
An independent report into a Conservative councillor has found a breach of the Royal Borough’s code of conduct in a document seen by the Advertiser.
