Crown Estate chiefs have announced the Windsor estate welcomed more than three million visitors during 2011/12.
The figures were revealed as part of its financial review for the period and it said revenue from the estate rose by eight per cent to £7.4 million, up from £6.8 million in 2010/11.
Capital value for the estate was up 5.4 per cent to £195.9 million for the year ending March 31, up from £186 million.
The area includes Windsor Great Park, Ascot Racecourse, the Savill Building, various forests, farms, golf courses and residential and commercial properties.
The crown said it made a net profit of £240.2 million for the year, a four per cent rise on the previous year.
In the last 10 years it has given more than £2 billion to the Government's Treasury.
