People with walking difficulties who use a Royal Borough shopping service will have a new spacious purpose-built venue to use.
The Windsor Shopmobility scheme will move from King Edward Court car park in Charles Street to the street-level Alma Road coach park on Monday, July 23.
The new site includes two cabins, one for office space and room for customers to sit and wait for a Dial a Ride vehicle or taxi, and another to house 20 scooters.
Adjacent are 10 parking bays separated from the public parking for convenience and safety, while People to Places vehicles will also now be able to park next to the building.
Cllr Peter Lawless, cabinet member for People to Places, said it 'ticks all the boxes' of easy access, parking, sufficient space, quality facilities and waiting areas, all in time for the Olympics.
The council's shopmobility service provides manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters for people who have difficulty walking.
