Ice cream makers battled it out to be crowned the tastiest when a festival was held at Royal Windsor Racecourse.
More than 7,000 racegoers turned out to enjoy the Ice Cream Festival and watch top-class racing at the Maidenhead Road course on Monday.
They packed into the Paddock Lawn as six independent producers tried to woo them over with their different ice cream flavours and be named Royal Windsor Ice Cream 2012.
The winner was Bradshaws Farm in Buckinghamshire with their honeycomb flavour, and second was Kelly's of Cornwall.
They were handed the first-place trophy by ice cream-loving seven-year-old Vivi Gregory-Osborne, who is battling cerebral palsy.
Reggae music live on stage will be played after the day's racing by Mike Anthony, Vivian Jones, Claire Angel, Jean McLean and will be finished by The Voice star Tyler James.
An independent report into a Conservative councillor has found a breach of the Royal Borough’s code of conduct in a document seen by the Advertiser.
Further details have been revealed over how many trains will be running in Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead during planned rail strikes later this month.
